Accessibility Statement
Accessibility isn't an extra feature. It's part of building a better web.
My Commitment to Accessibility
I believe the web should work for everyone.
Accessibility is fundamental to how I approach web operations and digital experience. Whether I'm developing a website, improving an existing platform, or managing its day-to-day operations, accessibility deserves consideration from the beginning.
I'm committed to making AlanPrachar.com accessible and providing an experience that works for people with different abilities, needs, and technologies.
Accessibility Standards
My goal is for AlanPrachar.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
These guidelines provide an internationally recognized framework for making digital content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, and other disabilities.
I use these standards to guide my design, development, content, and ongoing website maintenance decisions.
Testing & Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time checklist.
My approach combines automated accessibility testing with manual evaluation to identify potential barriers and opportunities for improvement. This includes reviewing website structure, navigation, content, forms, visual presentation, and compatibility with assistive technologies.
I also recognize that accessibility needs and technologies evolve. As this website changes, I'll continue evaluating its accessibility and addressing issues that arise.
Assessment & Conformance
AlanPrachar.com is being evaluated against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Automated accessibility testing of the homepage using Google Lighthouse on October 1, 2026 returned an accessibility score of 100. The audit also confirmed successful checks for areas including color contrast, alternative text, heading structure, touch-target sizing, link accessibility, language declaration, zoom support, and landmark structure.
Automated testing cannot evaluate every accessibility requirement, so I am also completing manual checks for keyboard navigation, visible focus, logical tab order, focus behavior, and other interactions that require human review.
I’ll continue addressing any accessibility issues identified through testing, ongoing maintenance, or visitor feedback.
Feedback & Assistance
Despite my best efforts, I recognize that someone may encounter a barrier I haven't identified.
If you experience difficulty accessing any part of AlanPrachar.com, find something that doesn't work with your assistive technology, or need information in an alternative format, please let me know.

If possible, include the page you were visiting and a brief description of the issue. Information about your browser or assistive technology can also be helpful, but it's entirely optional.
I'll investigate reported issues and work toward an appropriate solution. If you need assistance accessing particular information, I'll do my best to provide an alternative.
Statement Updates
I'll review and update this statement as needed to reflect changes to the website, its accessibility, and my ongoing improvement efforts.
This accessibility statement is effective as of 2026 and was last updated October 1, 2026.
